Frequently Asked Questions............

  • What networks does MYMO work on?
MYMO works on all four major UK networks such as O2, Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile.MYMO can be used on any GSM network that uses either 900 mHz or 1800 mHz worldwide. Please check that your local network supports this frequency range before ordering if you are outside the EU.

  • How easy is MYMO to use?
MYMO has just three buttons to control all functions. If you can use a nornal telephone, then MYMO should be easy! It takes just 5 minutes to store your 5 five numbers in another handset, then your ready to go!

The main central button is used to answer / make calls, whilst the other two buttons are used to select the desired telephone number and power on / off.

  • How do I store the 5 Numbers?
Its easy to store up to 5 numbers with MYMO. Because there is no keypad, you need to insert the SIM card into a standard mobile phone.

Store numbers as normal, inserting the letter ‘H’ and its position (1-5) prior to the name. For example, you could input ‘H1MUM’ and save the appropriate number for the first telephone number saved. For position 2 you would save as ‘H2DAD’ and save that number.Once you have stored all 5 name and numbers, return the SIM card to the MYMO.

  • How Do I set the MYMO PIN?
You only need to perform this function if the PIN code is activated on your SIM card. Please note that the O2 SIM cards supplied with MYMO do not have this function activated.

MYMO has a PIN (Personal Identification Number) built into the phone. The SIM card that you insert into the MYMO must have the same PIN code as the phone. The default PIN for the MYMO is 12345678. This needs to be changed to the same PIN as your SIM card. You should be able to find out your SIM PIN code from your SIM pack or from your Service Provider.

To change the default PIN on the MYMO to the same PIN as you SIM card, you need to send an SMS (Text message) from a normal handset to the MYMO that contains your new SIM card in the following format::

Setpin + OLD PIN+ NEW PIN+ NEW PIN.

If your SIM has a PIN of 0000, then you would send the following SMS:

    Setpin+12345678+0000+0000

You will receive an SMS confirmation to the normal handset from the MYMO confirming the PIN change.

    Attention:

You must send the SMS from the mobile number that is stored in location 1 on the SIM.The MYMO PIN and the SIM PIN must match. You can alter the SIM PIN at any time by inserting it in a normal handset.

If you switch on the handset and the MYMO PIN does not match with the SIM PIN, the LED 1 and LED will light. You must then change the SIM PIN as instructed. If you switch on the phone and LED 1, LED2, LED3 light, your SIM card is locked. You must contact your Service Provider for a PUK code to unlock it. Insert the MYMO SIM in a normal handset and enter the code.

  • How long does the battery last?
MYMO comes complete with a Lithium ion battery that takes around 2 hours to charge and should last around 2-3 days, depending on voice usage.

  • Can I use MYMO without the neckstrap?
Yes! MYMO can be used as a conventional mobile phone without having to use the neckstrap or the earpiece.
